  I urge the government to do the needful to end this barbaric behavior in bawku. First of all, the government must forcefully remove the mamprusi chief back to his original land in mamprusi. That nonsense of saying they are one people and that they intermarry must stop. If you are one people why can’t you settle matters to stop the bloodshed? I will also urge the government to withdraw most of the security forces and replace them with northerners to deal with them. We can’t allow innocent people dying in the name of peace. We should get a coalition of men across all the regions in the north to take over bawku for period of time. All those unscrupulous people taking advantage of the situation will be dealt with by the northern forces. I hate to see men leave their families in the south to go and die in Bawku.

The first Bawku chief was 1721 and he was he mamprusi man (Naa Ali).From 1721-1958 Bawku was ruled by Mamprusi untill Nkrumah removed the Mamprusi chief and replace him with this current one father (kusasi).Because the mamprusi did not support him and rather supported the UP.But after coup against Nkrumah the mamprusi chief was brought back by the military regime as the right chief. Nkrumah is the main cause. This people live together happily untill politics cause their fight. Mamprusi rule Bawku for more than 400 years (1721-1958).It is not easy to let it go easy. Compromise and dialogue is key.

Every police or military officer in Bawku and it's environs knows that Kusasis have declared war on them, and that Mamprusis never attack state security forces. Mamprusis have no say in Binduri and cannot even move about there talk less kill police. Even when the military brutalised and killed innocent people in Walewale and the government went ahead and imposed a curfew on the whole community, the people never killed one policeman. When you have crooks like this deliberately misleading the nation we cannot find peace.
