NPP government helped to bring a very huge factory at Bortiano in Accra. It is currently working and has employed many workers. What Ghanaians needed to hear was the factory owner telling government if they're able to sustain the market. Even so, since we don't want one company, government must be responsible enough to speak with integrity and not propaganda as usual.

Great. Wise and visionary and caring policy. I hope the evil NPP will not come another devilish propaganda against it like they did the last time.
But Prez Mahama, Hon Armah Buah and Hon Muntaka should REVERSE the 2 own goals they are trying to score. 1. L.I. 2462 should be repealed as promised and not amended. 2. The rather illogical, absurd policy of refusing to prosecute foreigners who come to destroy our rivers and forests and steal our gold. The excuses being for these 2 policies are so incredibly silly. Pls, some of us do not want turn against you guys this early in your admin so please don't compel us. More so bcuz the NPP is a hopeless case and not an option.

Exactly my view! This is the comment everyone should look out for. That's how we determine if there's value for money. Again how do we audit the distribution process? How many will each girl receive? The problem with the NDC is they introduction of nontransparent policies. At the end of the day Ghc 300 m will be spent on sanitary pads that with no other means to verify other than paper receipts. Many loopholes here! Neither the distribution process nor the beneficiaries can be tracked for auditing purposes. Lets protect the public purse for the sake of Ghana! Above all creating strong economy will provide lasting solutions to our problems, handouts are patchwork which never finishes.

Is unbelievable how these politicians think. How are you going to share these sanitary pads? I thought NDC were coming to change what Nana Addo did but unfortunately they are becoming the worse. Now ORAL is dead after those noise immediately after the elections. Even in advanced countries there are no freebies. Why can't you create jobs for parents to enable them buy the pads for their kids? So if another government comes and refused to provide these freebies what will happend to those kids. We need a ruthless military regime to reset Ghana proper. Unfortunately our military is being politicised so even the soldiers don't give a damn what happens because now they are also not hungry or patriotic as they use to be. JM don't get the tag of being the worse because Akuffo Addo already has that as the worse of all Ghanaian presidents. You have the opportunity to reset and become one of the best after Nkrumah but it seems your first three months is becoming the worse. Cancel this corrupt procurement shit as soon as possible because we Ghanaians are against these freebies. Give us jobs and we can take care of our kids because you weren't the one who was doing the atupa for us to produce our kids.

I’m beginning to lose hope in ghana politics. This idea of supplying pads is as childish as the President dressed in military outfit recently. Where in the world did a government commit itself to purchasing sanitary pads for girls? For how long can the government continue to provide pads? This policy will just make some politicians rich by diverting these pads and selling them to the market women! It’s a waste of resources akin to the National Cathedral project that wasted millions of dollars with nothing good to show for the money. God pls help our politicians to think sensibly. Where’s your 40-Year Development Plan? Pls stick with this plan which was crafted by Dr. Nii-Moi Thompson if you’re lacking sensible ideas that can move the nation forward. Politicians learn history but fail to learn from history. Go the pads way and risk being booted out of power at the next general elections! Time flies!

You are buying the pads for selected communities, you do not provide any data for the number of girls and at what cost, yet you are able to determine the quantity and total amount. For how long can government continue to do this. As it is, there are still many schools in the rural areas that do not benefit from the school feeding program. Instead of making funds available to feed all the basic school children in the deprived communities, you rather want to provide sanitary pads.
Why don't you give the money to parents to buy for their kids for the sake of privacy and hygienic conditions.
Please let government be serious, wise and prudent in making decisions and choices.

In the western world, so many young women are using items better for the environment known as menscap/ monthcup
This is a short term measure, and what happens when they run out?
Some heavy periods may need both initially then less as the period ends.
With problems to dispose of sanitation in the country
why do they not approach the women/ young girls who
have to use these products to see what they think.
Looking for long term measures is advisable and also how many people will this aid reach.
