The problem with the NDC is they introduction of nontransparent policies. At the end of the day Ghc 300 m will be spent on sanitary pads that with no other means to verify other than paper receipts. Many loopholes here! Neither the distribution process nor the beneficiaries can be tracked for auditing purposes. Lets protect the public purse for the sake of Ghana! Above all creating strong economy will provide lasting solutions to our problems, handouts are patchwork which never finishes.

Unfortunately our military is being politicised so even the soldiers don't give a damn what happens because now they are also not hungry or patriotic as they use to be. You are buying the pads for selected communities, you do not provide any data for the number of girls and at what cost, yet you are able to determine the quantity and total amount. For how long can government continue to do this. As it is, there are still many schools in the rural areas that do not benefit from the school feeding program. Instead of making funds available to feed all the basic school children in the deprived communities, you rather want to provide sanitary pads.
Why don't you give the money to parents to buy for their kids for the sake of privacy and hygienic conditions.
Please let government be serious, wise and prudent in making decisions and choices.
