How come we have explored good for centuries and do not have a single fully owned Ghanaian gold company and even a well functioning gold value chain in Ghana. It’s time we begin to think deeper than the thoughts of foreign investors feelings, about Ghana, local employment and community benefits. These are scrums from the industry but unfortunately our poor education makes us think this way.
There is no need to renew the license on same terms but be restructured for better and deeper benefits to Ghanaians than to little fall offs. How can we reposition and transition the mine in to Ghanaian own and traded on the Ghana exchange annd beyond, how can we have part of the gold traded through the Gold board, etc.
