I will not congratulate the minister and the security forces for doing this. What they are doing is just a facelift. It’s waste of time and resources. Those who can do this fight very well are the people around areas where galamsay is wrecking havoc on the people. They are aware of all that is happening around them. They know all the people engaged in this practice but they are mute because on the other hand they benefit from the galamsay. If not, what force can be greater than all the people in the area amassing themselves with their guns, machetes, spears, bows and arrows, sticks to face these galamsay with little support from the security personnel forcing them out of their area. They should learn from areas who have vowed never to see this practice on their land.If they can’t do this leave our security forces alone. I think they enjoy the silty water more.
