In a country like Ghana where most public officials are dishonest and are controlled by the government, if you take away the president’s power to terminate the appointment of the CJ, you allow future government like the previous one to keep judges who only work for a party and a government but not for the people. Do not follow the West without considering our own situation. What if we have seriously corrupt and compromised judges, there will be no way to change them? So Mahama wouldn’t be able to sack the corrupt judges. Think carefully before you change the constitution.

What is Mr. Kpebu talking about? Is the judiciary more powerful than the legislature? Didn't we all see how she abused her powers by undermining the Speaker's authority, just to please Akufo Addo? This bitch must go.

In the case of the Legislature and Executive, we give them limited 4 year term subject to rejection or renewal. Are we also going to give the CJ a fixed term?

How annoying to toil and win a case at the high court only for some fucking bastards at the supreme court to overturn it

It is time to strip these powers and give power back to the electorate.
No MP should serve as a minister at the same time.
No MD of SOEs be appointment by president. They should be appointed on merit.
Ex gratia should only be earned when MP is no longer representing a contingency either through retirement or defeated in election.
President should not be immune to prosecution during and after service.
Decentralize police and fire services. Allow communities to hire and manage their own community fire and police services.

On top that, Scammer John Mahama, the gonja mafia led family and relatives govt has appointed a person sacked by the Ghana armed forces for gross misconduct as head of national security. Is his relative Jakpa doing the gonja mafia bidding?
As for gala, the gonja mafia and his relatives are the kingpins.
Like Mary said, toilet self is better than Scammer John Mahama aka Gonja mafia
Only Mahamas are getting juicy jobs. I thought the Okyere and Addos were not Ghanaians.

There should be equality among the three different arms of government with each arm exerting its power independently as he alluded to . But Kpebu witnessed the fracas between the legislature and the judiciary recently when the speaker of parliament made a decision in parliament that was overturned by the Chief Justice. Did Kpebu objected to that ruling if he believed the three arms of government are independent? Kpebu cannot have his cake and eat it at the same time.
It is time to revise our constitution and the president must not have that much power as it is presently enshrined in our constitution.
