  Indeed. We would like to hear about TOR actually refining petroleum products 24 hours a day. That should be the focus of the new management, not streamlining gantry operations.

  When the Government of the day took over GHAIP and re-named it TOR, it was operating three 8-hour shifts. Tema had Steel Works, 8 Textile Mills, Mankoadze Fisheries, State Fisheries, Meridian Hotel and several other companies...all operating 24 hours. Some young politicians who have not bothered to check Ghana's industrialisation history, think that working 24 hours is new and unattainable. BONSA TYRE Factory, Komenda Sugar Factory, Asutsuare Sugar Factory, Takoradi Port, Pomadzie Poultry Complex, Ghana Railways...all these Ghanaian outfits operated 24 hours, before they were wantonly, thoughtlessly and parochially dismembered by various military and civilian administrations. GHANAIANS should support and encourage John MAHAMA and his administration to put Ghana back on its feet. Ghana can resume the leadership role that it played under Visionary Nkrumah.
