Kwasia, you don't know your history..go and read up on his accomplishments..again, ashen I say our leaders are stupid they say im a fool..why must a national stadium be named after baba Yara? With all due respect, the man was great but he died so young and kotoko made an emotional decision to name a public stadium after him wrong. The kumasi stadium should be named after a corporate entity like man or guineas for like 10yrs and use the revenue to maintain the stadium. This is what your colleagues in western nations have done..kotoko must be encouraged to uikd their own stadium, their own training facility and name that club asset after baba Yara if they so please..in the interim, the name must be removed and instead a statute outside the stadium be erected in Mr Yara's honor. Now, if osei kofi has beef he should address it to his club..why havent kotoko even retired his number? Look at what clubs like real madrid, Liverpool do for their heroes and emulate

all these narcissism from this man and the guy named Polo. I am this I am that I was this I was that. please let us hear. the people decide if you deserve it or not not you. I've never heard any world football legend demand that a stadium be named after them this is absurd even by Ghanaian standard. we need to produce more modern day legend so people self centered narcissists can give us a break. most Ghanaians today never saw these guy play because their era was the black and white tv era and times where 4 or 6 teams competed yet they keep disturbing our peace

There is a saying that, of one does not know you one is called a slave. There are comments on this poat by the legend Rev Osei Kofi. Most of them are saying he did not play any good football. Ghana had a second team then known as the New Horizon and Osei Kofi was the captain. When Kenya had its independence, the National Team was invited. It was the young New Horizon who represented Ghana and beat Kenya by eleven goals to nill. Osei Kofi was a member of the Bkack Stars team that won its first Afcon in 1963. He was again in the team that defended the cup in Tunisia by beating them three two after extra time. In that match, Ghana was down by 2----1 and it was Osei Kofi who scored the equaliser in injury time. He gave the final pass that made Ghana score the winning goal. In 1969 Kotoko toured the UK as Guest of Stoke City who had the world's best goal keeper called Gorden Banks. Osei scored two goals past him. Rev Osei Kofi was given a thirty thousand pounds contract to play for Stoke City, but fir the love of mother Ghana he declined that contract. There us a lot to say about Tev Osei Kofi who was known in football as the Dribbling Magician. He has served his country well

His exploits for Ghana from yore cannot be disputed, but what has his seeming bitterness from the past got to bear on the PRESENT administrations? How exactly do you hold present rulers responsible for unfulfilled promises from the past? He always comes across as if those who disappointed him and his generation are still here with us. It is this sort of misplaced blame he constantly echoes that I particularly find unfortunate (including his proposterous intimations that the Black Stars haven't won Afcon because of this perceived unfairness meted out to him in particular).
