The suppression of hydrants is a national menace needing the same attention the regional minister is giving in ashanti. Please make it nationwide or region by region with no compromise

Don't treat violators with Kids gloves. Mere warning amounts to encouraging behaviours that are despicable.

Good point. In addition, all large markets - without exception, are not only inaccessible to fire tenders and wrongly sited but they are also highly prone to fire. After the Kantamanto market fire, I watched in amazement on TV when hundreds of traders defiantly bought their own dry wooden beams and immediately set about reconstructing their sheds and stalls without recourse to any authority. This went on despite the "warning shot" that was fired by the Ga Traditional Council to the effect that the land on which they were located was not govt land but their own land.

There is no need to warn anybody who has put a structure on a fire hydrant. Go ahead with your men to do the right things. You are doing your best to save your people.

Buildings over fire hydrants? Why would the minister know this better than the fire department? Does that mean they do not inspect they hydrants?

Apologising to an ignorant and incompetent buffoon for publicly exhibiting his ignorance and buffoonery is quite unheard-of.

Sometimes i wonder what are in the fucking heads of africans. They have built structures over fire hydrants. And the fire service too has never complained about this. I just can't believe this.

Why haven't the fire service enforced the fire hydran law all these years? Lawlessness in ghana is as a result of the security departments not doing their jobs. Example is drivers parking their cars anywhere with no fear. Illegal parking can give the government more money than toll roads if it it is enforced SENSIBLY by the police in collaboration with private towing companies. It is done elsewhere flawlessly so why is it so difficult to enforce fire hydrant and parking laws in ghana? This micro tiny country. Is it because the citizens are stupid or our leaders are so stupid they can't get anything done right. Gosh!!!! Trash everywhere like we don't have SENSE in this country. This Minister should not waste time warning anybody. The know you can't block a fire hydrant. Nobody needs education to understand this. So Mr Minister just bring the Army and demolish all illegal structures blocking any fire hydrant. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. Ghana should be RESET for all the NONSENSE to STOP.
