Small scale mining and Galamsey should be banned totally. The government can then afterwards employ these small scale mining workers and Galamseyers to restore our forests again. They can earn legal incomes and honors.

Small scale miners, stop your nonsense talk. For your information, the illegal miners are armed with sophisticated weapons and local communities can't stop them. Under NPP, these same small scale miners made the same demands that burning of excavators was not necessary and the use of the army to fight illegal mining was not needed. And because of these unnecessary advice from the small scale miners, Ghana has lost the fight against galamsey and the illegal miners are having a field day and they are destroying our forest reserves and water bodies.
