Yes you did (you did mean Akufo Addo) and you are absolutely right - Akufo Addo's bad luck was the only thing standing in the way of the Black Stars.

Where are those who had been chanting "Jordan should be dropped from the team?" He provided 3 assists.

The Black Stars defeating a jet-lagged and tired team from Madagascar is nothing to be proud of. The Malagasys played in what is considered their home game, 5,114 miles away in Morocco, compared to the Black Stars who only traveled about 1,600 miles to Morocco. Ghanaians should thank their lucky stars and CAF for its stupid decision to have Madagascar play in Morocco and not in South Africa which is closer to Madagascar than Morocco.

@Martin A Madagascar and CAR match took place in Morocco. They have been resting since then. But as Ghana ended their match late Friday night, travelled to Morocco on Saturday morning, picked transit to the town before settling down to start training on Sunday for a Monday match. Who had more time to prepare how to approach the game?

CAF is at fault for making them travel 5,114 miles to Morocco rather a short flight to South Africa about 1,700 miles away.

They played on CAR on Wednesday in Morocco and had been relaxing in Morocco two days before Ghana even played Chad in Accra. Do you know how it feels to play two tough matches in four days, between Friday and Monday and be traveling too? Madagascar were expected to have greater endurance in the build up to this game.

Next time, they and Ghana include, shd improve standards of their pitches to play at home. Ghana wa just lucky to be pardoned after all the stadiums in the country failed the test.

Now that we have won both matches, match days 7 and 8 we can qualify in September but only if we beat both Chad again in an away fixture and then Mali at home in a home fixture. If we win both those matches, it gives us 21 points which would be enough to clinch qualification for 2026.
Congratulations to the team.
