  FYI, battalions make a brigade. Brigades make a division, divisions make a Corp, and corps make an army. REVERSE that joke of a promotion. And also, the president and commander in chief should order the return to the old and original epaulets (what is called rank on the shoulder). This new and current one is too clumsy, ugly and senseless. It was aaaall brought in just to stress the status of someone being a general with stars. It should be reversed across all the three services. It is such an eyesore, especially with Peprah's shoulder having aaaaalll those 4 stars, alongside the crossed swords and the coat of arms. WETIN? Aaaaaahh. If for nothing at aaaaaalll, The British left us good epaulets for our officers and shoulder ranks for the other ranks.

  Unfortunately that promotion cannot be reversed. An officer's rank can only be reduced by a verdict or ruling of a court marshal.
  By the way, the new CDS should even be of the rank of Lt-Gen.

  Yes, the Rank of Lt. General would be appropriate for the CDS. commanders. But certainly not General (4-star).

  It depends how you look at the 4-Star in Ghana army formation. 1-4-Star is good for the country but they must promote 3-star as deputy. The person who wrote and propose for the 4-star rank was the formal AVM Hanson. Very good ...

  In the developed world, one cannot be promoted to any of these ranks, except in wartime situation or unless the person has been to a war front.
