It is going to take a lot of work to right the injustices Dampare perpetrated in the police service and bring back police morale.

  Cop rtd, is on point.He presided over a regime of internal tyrany and never consulted any of the boards to exact transfers and promotions. He was only a saint in the eyes of the public and quick to showcase his achievements whenever there were national events.He had hoodwinked the media and intellectual spaces to believe strongly in him whether in ignorance or for personal gains .A visit to the divisions districts and new regions he created outside Accra will expose is ill taunted achievements.The flamboyance are only displayed in the big cities.

  The whole idea of promotion based on recommendation esoecially at the Officers level should be scrapped entirely. It is regressive, descriminative and unfair if one can not compare and contrast the work of an MTTD person, An Investigator, an Office Clerk or P.R person , body guard, a police driver with all the resources needed as against a Police Officer working in the village with all logistical, welfare and psychological challenges . It must be a difficult comparison if not impossible hence the need to scrap such recommendations at the Officer level.

In determining merit emphasis is placed on 4 criteria namely: QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SENIORITY and ATTITUDES towards the job. Rarely will you see anyone promoted because the person is the friend or relative of the Head of Civil Service.

I remember the case of the young man who arrived from Japan and was killed at a hotel in Amanfrom near Amanhrai in 2015 .What did you you? . You messed up the case because the late Parker Allotey used the then former national security coordinator to influence you and you allowed the chief suspect off the hook . Aside that , you rained insult on the deceased mother at the cid headquarters and handed over the suspects passport to her . You never took the case to court and transferred the officer handling the case . This is what you did differently . Spare us the noise . You this man paa . You denied the deceased of Justice . You will not go Scot free . God will punish you Bright Oduro .
