When there is a rot under "Central" government, just think about it. The idea behind "federalism" is the shared responsibility spread across the entire nation. Look at Nigeria and Ghana, we had independence before them but look at the inroads they have made.

Again on the issue of acces you are right but I think the fire service personnel should have requested for excavator to demolish the wooden structures around the edge of the HELLO FM building to gain some limited access behind the structure
Again the storey building from which I understand that's where the fire started is by the road side, so the issue of access does not come in at all.
But to me the bottoming is a people there are so many things we are doing wrong, especially our TOWN PLANNING process is just not good enough

Leaders must not accept substandard in their society.
They must take charge;get remote education in planning and development and approve or disapprove fairly according to benefitsto community. Accept no bribe so permits are enforced in integrity Then people will also value integrity.
All chiefs should be educated in planning, integrity and good practices knowing collective benefit.

Why would you move a fire tender to fire outbreak location without water in it, wait for a whole one hour doing nothing until the minister arrives for you to tell him there's no water in the tank to quench the fire? If this is not sabotage, what is it then.

If I were the regional minister, I'll fire every officer who went to the scene but refused to take action, standing lazying about because there's no water in the vehicle. They are all useless people employed by the state and get paid monthly for no work done.

Why are our leaders happy to hold titles but deliver nothing. It looks like the fire service personnel there didn't have the operational skills to handle such emergencies. This minister talks as if he came down from a different planet. Who doesn't know the challenges Ghana fire service is facing? The firemen have battled the fire to the best of their ability and instead of urging them on, you rather gave it to them as if they were sleeping on the job. By the time I got there, I got there before the minister came, the service men had been able to quench the fire where the fire tenders could reach. The place is is shaped like an oval so getting access to the inner part of the oval-shaped was just impossible. At this point, the service men were helpless and this is where the regional minister was impatient. You couldn't even bring them iced water to quench their thirst and you got mad at them and won't listen to the commander. The president came and commended their efforts and you the minister came to show your power or what? The inner circle was no go area because of containers erected haphazardly. The minister must show maturity next time.
