Is Afenyo-Markin trying to create a class society? Could he please answer? With whose money is he intending to build that hospital?. He should rather think about parliament coming up with a legislation to ban the government paying anybody’s medical bill in healthcare facilities outside Ghana. No animal farm scenario in Ghana where “all animals are the same but some are more equal than the others.” We’re all taxpayers and should have equal rights to medical facilities. There is no MP “bigger” than the people who elected him. Please let is be modest!

These MPs need training on what 'development' is. Development is what you do to minimize poverty and inequality among your constituents so that the numerous poor, marginalized, vulnerable and impoverished people who vote for you, will get access to good health, education, sanitation, and sustainable economic opportunities in alignment with the international sustainable development goals, customized to your locality. If you carry out development well, you wouldn't have to buy votes in your constituency, let alone people from your own political party. Development is not doing what will place the politician at an advantage like giving them sirens to move faster and keeping the roads congested for all the other constituents; giving them the best of health whiles the ordinary constituent cannot treat malaria; giving them a clean environment whiles their constituents die of cholera; walling their homes while the teenagers in their constituencies sleep in the open, indulge in early sex and drugs, and get pregnant on the streets while they are still in their teens. MP, before you embark on any development venture, you need to understand, your target, the problems they face, and trace the problems to the core. Many times, by addressing the core problem, the associated roots and branches get solved. MP, after getting to the core you prioritize because human wants are unlimited but resources are scarce, particularly in a poor country like Ghana. So MR. MP you do not go about promising to do all things at once. Your constituents will reward you for one or two projects done well to benefit them, than for a thousand and one projects commenced and not completed. Finally, development is a process so you don't pretend that your opponents are dumb and so everything they started is junk. You will equally score political points if you pick one or two projects started by your opponents and finish them.
