Any smart president would see the evidence of his good work as strong foundation on which to build a better police force by finetuning his approach. Mahama felt harassed! Very insecure Mahama.

Look the new IGP is my tribesman and I do not know much about his performance but clearly Mahama has replaced a winning coach with an unknown coach. Kofi Boakye will surely be behind all this since he felt he was deservi g of an IGP than Dampare. But Kofi Boakye has a drug case smelling around him. Kofi Boakye has not been able to set foot outside Ghana to any European or the US. He will likely be arrested ! due to this drug cases surrounding him. NDC has already started going reverse

Mahama had made up his mind to go with Yuhuno, the NDC favorite. Yuhuno has been loyal to the P/NDC cause. We are no strangers to things happening in Ghana. It is within the president's ambit to go with whom he feels comfortable working with and through. Former IGP Dampare never over lobbied the President. I would have done the same given his young age, far below retirement. Dampare was fair to Ghana and no partisan. Some times that is what a country needs. President Mahama give Dampare job to do. He is still in his mid fifties.
