Unbelievable. Lincoln international parents pay the equivalent of over 22 thousand dollars a semester. So you want to send students there and use tax payers money to pay these fees.

Massa try to use your head when making comments. Those are International schools which clearly falls outside the category of private schools. Whether u hate or not, JM is delivering on his manifesto promise.

This is bull shit. If you say the economy is mismanaged and Ghana is broke, where are you going to get the money from to rope in the private schools. It will be a waste of taxpayers' money in the sense that the private schools proprietors are out to make profit and so government should not be aiding and abetting them to fleece off resources that could be used to support other public schools. This political campaign promise is useless and fulfilling it will add no value to the education system. Please stop these political gimmicks!!!

Highly dissapointed. What is wrong with us as a nation? Can't we get leaders who can think for the nation? A developing country and free this free that here and there! What kind of lazy citizens are we breeding? Always, spending just to steal has been the issue of all politicians. Currently look at the state of our basic schools! It's unbelievable that you still rolling out this unsustainable FSHS which is draining the country and now thinking of including the private schools, what a stupid idea and statement. Create Ivy league SHS, charged high fees and provide scholarships to the needy, cancel all boarding SHS and build more day SHS, provide meals at day schools as well and use the spare funds to cater for the basic schools providing free quality meals etc. This should be your thinking line Mr Minister. Free this free that is avenue for you to steal from the people. We are sick and tired, don't give us a fish, teach us how to fish to sustain us!

Mahama has pledged to abolish the Double Track system and expand the Free SHS policy to include Private Senior High Schools. This move, which resonated with Ghanaians, aims to alleviate congestion in public schools. In fact, prior to the introduction of Free SHS, private schools played a significant role in Ghana's education system. Notably, private schools like Cambridge SHS have the capacity to absorb around 5,000 students, making them a valuable resource in addressing the challenges posed by the Double Track system. Incorporating private schools into the Free SHS policy is a commendable approach that can help ensure a more equitable and effective education system.
