Daara left out Lucas Redebe who had foreign exposure and played in the EPL.. Nonetheless, if we talk about local African footballers without exposure to European Clubs who were technically superior and naturally gifted than Jamie Carragher, we have a plethora of them.. Ghana alone have two noticeable defendants who were local players but were all around better than the clumsy Carragher in terms of ball skill, technical ability, tactical awareness and athletism- the duo of Emmanuel Armah and Frimpong Manso.

I was too young to remember what position Lucas Redebe played in, but I certainly remember how good he was, so if he was a defender you are right - he was definitely much better than Carragher. On our local players, you even left out, or forgot another name - Frank Amankwah of Asante Kotoko, Carragher was not even close (to that guy).

Kalidou Koulibaly is certainly 1000 times better than "stiff man" carragher. Even former Ghanaian defenders Isaac Vorsah, Harrison Afful and currently Mohamed Salisu are all better than that loudmouth

Carragher never mentioned anywhere in his speech that Africa didn't produce quality players neither did he say AFCON is a useless tournament. We know deep inside us that what he said was absolute true. If Salah won AFCON and didn't win UEFA champions league it will affect him in the balloon door race unlike Mbape who will still stand the chance of winning the balloon door even if he performance in UEFA champions league is poor but having WC or EUROS in his medals cabinet.
We all know that balloon door is European award, moreover if EUROS is playing the same time with AFCON, more people in Africa will watch the EUROS more than the number that will watch AFCON.
Besides he didn't include Asian cup of nations or American cup of nations to his biggest tournament

Please we should stop pretending and unnecessary attack on people verdicts and face reality
