Of what use us this if not another talk shop? You cannot finance Independence celebrations yet you are able to organize this useless forum which will resolve none of our woes.

Ghana belongs to all of us so it behoves us to ensure that henceforth probity and accountability are more than just empty political slogan.
If y'all cannot put Ghana first at all times then you stfu when well-meaning Ghanaians are talking!

Gman1957, you rather have a big problem. Can’t you see that you are rather follow -follow without basis? Where is this economic dialogue leading? Nowhere !!! When you will soon become disgruntled, you will be joining the fray. By the way, stop thinking that anybody with a divergent view is an Ashanti. You can’t even think beyond your nose apart from insults. So sorry for you!!

Yes, an urgent call to action. So, why doesn't the government prioritize sourcing most or our funds from within, instead of going to borrow from bilateral sources or whatever ? What won't the government repeal Act 919, the Petroleum Exploration a s Production Law and replace it with another to support Production Sharing Agreement to enable Ghana earn 44-85% oil revenue, instead of the current 18% government take ? Change the colonial Concession arrangement of Royalty Tax System for our gold, diamonds, manganese and replace it with a hard Minerals Production Sharing Agreement, PSA, to enable us earn at least 40%. We know the solution, yet we are pretending we don't know how to have a paradigm shift to be economically independent.
Stop beating about the bush and dancing in circles.

When you talk of a visionary Leader, he is the one who visualize his vision put them on board to be deliberated on, not the other way round. To me it seems history is repeating itself, it's Senchi Economic Forum part two, but this time different name .National Economic Dialogue. The end result is obvious, the NDC Government no matter what, Ghana will be heading to the IMF, as soon as the meeting is over. So fellow Ghanaians be prepared for the Impending danger ahead economically.
