GHANA'S SUCCESSIVE LEADERS HAVE BEEN BORROWING SINCE 1957 AND IT HASN'T GOT US ANYWHERE, SO WHY SO MUCH FOCUS ON BORROWING WHICH CONTINUES TO BURDEN US WITH DEBTS IN THE MIDST OF PLENTY?
WHERE DO GHANA'S MASSIVE TAX REVENUES AND EXPORT EARNINGS GO TO?
GHANA'S LEADERS ARE BOGUS AND USELESS. A SINGLE LOCAL CHIEF AND POLITICIANS SMUGGLE TONNES OF GHANA'S GOLD ON PRIVATE JETS, AND NO ONE COMPLAINS ABOUT THAT. NO EVEN THE NATIONAL SECURITY.
WHY ALL THESE BORROWING NONSENSE?

Abena Sophia, you are too good. Where were you all these years? The Saudis revised their contracts which then projected them to their current status. Yes, we can also do it.

There is nothing in our constitution that places a bar or limit on level of participation by government in any extractive deal for which a constitutional review is neccessary. Such deals are normally negotiated guided by industry practice and standards and a party's negotiating power. If we had all the capital, technology, huma resource and marketing capabilities we wouldn't be looking for any partnerships, would we? If we could do more with our minerals income and investment fund (MIIF) that should strengthen our bargaining power in the sector. So, Lady former CJ let's cut the emotions and get real with reality. We could end up putting all manner of formulae in our constitution that would not make our extractive industry competitive.

I will rather take the minerals out with the Ghanians community than to sign a contract where the investers get more than the owner of the minerals. Madame Akuffo is right. To sign a contract of minerals in europe has to be 49 to 51 for the country or the investers. Ghana should pay the workers or employ foreign workers to work for us to be paid if we have all the materiels where Ghanians do not have the knowledge. There are lots of youth who can go on farming but they do not have the money and land and our gouvernment does not care. They just say go to farming.
