It is not only about the cost; it is more about "drying" young school children under the hot tropical sun, sometimes exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Ask the school children whether they don’t relish the idea of marching for their schools before the whole nation to celebrate independence?

OH, REALLY? DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH SCHOOL CHILDREN CHERISH THE DAY? AND OF COURSE THEIR TEACHERS?
DO YOU KNOW THE PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAUMA THIS DECISION IS GOING TO HAVE ON OUR SCHOOL CHILDREN?

Because of c15 million, you take away the dream or privilege of our school kids marching for the country on independence day. This is another wrong move by president Mahama.

Mahama has declared another holiday for Eid ul fitr. A holiday costs the country in excess of of c300 million, and yet because of c15 million, you abolish Independence Day celebration.
    What twisted NDC Mahama logic.
