It is even stupid to hear John Mahama insisting on relocating the national cathedral from its current location to somewhere else as if the location is too prime for a church. If I may ask, is the hajj village location not a prime location? How can Christians, who constitute a large majority in this country, be treated as second fiddle? There is another hajj village to be located in Tamale, all to be sponsored by our taxes.

I think NPP and NDC and indeed politicians in general should have learnt that this cutting of sod and inauguration of projects do not win votes per se. What happened in 2016 was repeated in 2024 with voters clearly showing that these public shows of project commencement and completion do not impress them. If you ask me I'll say, with the exception of a few large projects, the president should leave all that to his ministers and only tout his achievements while making all the effort to make life bearable for Ghanaians.
