  For all the country's problems for which such a bill, if passed, will exacerbate them should be the government's sole priority and not such a divisive and hateful bill, unless drastically modified - maybe that's the goal.

  Gays have been in Ghana since time immemorial, and no one was interested, so no one minded them. It would have been a waste of time, for instance when you know it's not your cup of tea. No one insulted them or appeared to take notice. We didn't have to even think of protecting them, because no one bothered to harm anyone.
  
  Their issues started when they wanted us to see their daily manifs, too much publicity and the tendency of foisting it on little kids in primary schools. That's clearly crossing the red line, and we had enough.
