  We, Africans, can roast or lament or complain all we want about Jamie Carragher and his European like-minded individuals about our continental soccer fiesta.
  However, if we don`t quit the suicidal corrupt practices, and do well to massively improve the quality and quantity of our sports, such derogatory remarks will be continually directed to us.
  Ivory Coast, our current continental champions, took home paltry $7million, for clinching the AFCON. And that is a shame!
  Carragher and others of his mindset believe that, but for their European football facilities and standards, our African football stars were never going to reach their individual and collective attained heights in world football. And that is the bedrock of the continual disrespect for us.

  @COD, It’s our poor infrastructure that has nurtured the talent that the European scouts sign from our shores. They scout potential and talent which have already been developed with the corrupt infrastructure as you want us to believe. The European clubs only continue the development of the talents. So Carragher got it wrong from his jaundiced assumption. Even he who was developed from the world class infrastructure, what was his contribution to the game? He played one club till retirement and never made even one FIFA / European best 11 during his time with Liverpool. I don’t think any player has his name as nickname because of how technically bankrupt he was defensively.
