Now ENI will have no excuse not to continue what they were doing for the small up and coming local companies in the upstream sector.
Mr. Okyere, we are all for local content but what NPP did for was for their own benefit ENI saw through that's why nothing has happened between your companies since that so called directive.
Now, Springfield must take it's time to build itself and stake its claim. Not just wait to benefit from the sweat of other investors through partisan politics.

Nana addo's behaviour towards the upstream investors is the reason during his tenure no new well was developed and crude oil production started declining from 2019. year on year.
ENI invested over $7B in that project only for the government to try and appropriate it to Springfield.
who in his rightful mind make that huge investment, you come to power and without any scientific basis you issue unitisation directive and the give more than 50% to Springfield and 45% to ENI who actually spent money to developed the block.
ENI refused the unitisation because the government wanted to use takashie. the government did not even follow the petroleum law. our own government breaching our laws.
common unitisation the previous government couldn't do it successfully like how it was done previously and nobody went to arbitration.
now ENI has done so much investment in Ivory Coast

How is destroying an up-and-coming indigenous company in favor of an exploitative foreign entity a good thing? Should Nigeria destroy Dangote because Shell and ExxonMobil have "invested" billions in Nigeria's upstream oil and gas sector? The Government's letter to the three parties reads like a press release written by ENI. Disgraceful.

Springfield can also create their independent field with their own fpso and subsea facilities if they so wish. Enough of the setbacks from NPP devils.

You just need a Ghanaian to cripple another Ghanaian business. We are our own enemies. It is a taboo when it benefits a Ghanaian and it is a blessing when a foreigner benefits. It's sad.

Roping in Springfield will affect the optimum produce of ENI. Question is why cant Springfield build their own subsea infrastructure and rent their own fpso??? Nobody is destroying anyone but the bare facts must be well espoused.

ENI now operate their business in Ghana from ivory Coast because the business environment in ivory Coast is better.
so they have their peace of mind to progress.
as a Ghanaian what did you benefit from the legal battle between ENI and the government of Ghana?
your taxes was used to pay lawyers in excess of $8M only for the government to lose the case.
oil production started declining in 2019 because none of the companies want to inject fresh capital in fear of government appropriating their investment to party cronies.

Independence is not real freedom but rather an opportunity to be TOTALLY FREE. Ghana/Africa lost it's greatest moment to gain TOTAL FREEDOM when the tricky, immoral and evil white man was able to destroy and kill Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. But all hope is not lost yet, because this is the time and season for Ghana/Africa to rise again. The most vibrant and versatile youth in the world lives in Africa. This is the time and season for AFRICAN YOUTH to rule their DESTINY; This is the time for AFRICAN YOUTH to rise up and shut down any government or remove any African leader that may be seen dancing to the tunes of the tricky, wicked and evil white man; This is the time and season for AFRICAN YOUTH to rise up and push every African governments to remove every military base and NGOs of the white man and his allies. THERE CAN BE NO PEACEFUL AND TRUE BORDERLESS AFRICA when the tricky white man and his allies have military bases stationed on the continent. The you must rise up and march to these military bases and demand their removal at once if African leaders play delay diplomacy with this issue; It is time for AFRICAN YOUTH to push African leaders to cut ties with the white man's tricky and corrupt international institutions and make him pay for slavery; It is time and season for AFRICAN YOUTH to push African leaders to strongly start preaching and promoting SELF RELIANCE and stop importing medicines and chocolates and useless things from the wicked and evil white man. TOTAL FREEDOM is the next step after independence and AFRICAN YOUTH must rise up and do everything possible to RULE THIS DESTINY.
