All these smuggling and the money spent will not be necessary if the government paid the right price or allowed the producers to find their own market wherever it may be. All the government has to do is to make sure the necessary taxes are paid. The producers of yam, coconut, plantain, pepper, tomatoes, onion and many other products are not restricted as to who and where they sell their products. So why cocoa?
The government or the powers that be should seriously look at the negative and positive impacts of the current policy and the necessary changes needed.
I believe that cocoa production will be very high if the necessary changes are made.

That is why we refer these inward looking people as pests and parasites. They don’t have any resources in their Region. They do not produce anything. They roam the streets of other Regions looking for food and survival. But they buy goods from other Regions and smuggle them to their native Togo. These people are nation wreckers who are bent on destroying Ghana. They aim to run down Ghana and promote their native Togo. Their aim is to destroy Ghana, develop Togo and move en mass to their native Togo. Nonsense

I don't get it, if Togo sells to the same market as Ghana why are they paying their farmers higher than ghanaian cocoa farmer. Stop attacking farmers they work so hard and deserve equal treatment. If Mahama goes by his promise 75% of the world market price goes for the farmer and government takes 25%. Just do it that way and smuggling will naturally die without wasting human resources for sleep on borders. Now it's less 50% of the world prices paid to the poor farmer. Just be fair your choking farmers to death to profit wicket politicians. Oh mogher Ghana, when can we treat ourselves with respect and dignity.

A washing base ran by a guy called yellow is a notorious mafia. Whereby cargos park at this washing base and offload goods and he goes around selling stolen cement bags; iron rods and lot of items. Hell is called Yellow and that’s the job he does.
The Nkwakaw and Mpraso police knows all about this but they always bail him off.
His comrades are Mogabo and the kolanut buyers who uses their Shago and a safe haven for smuggled cocoa beans they buy from fodoa farmers and Bease praso.
