If Ghanaian voters will advise themselves and vote according to their conscience, but not on party lines, this nonsense will stop. The monies needed to improve the lifestyles of ordinary Ghanaians are going to be spent on these people who don't think of where their next meal is going to come from. Their job is to advise the president, the president who has his a vice president, cabinet, overwhelming majority MPs, senior advisors of his party and host of national executive Council (NEC) of his party. If all these noble men and women can't advise the president, then what are we talking about ? Council of state body is useless just look at the number of president's appointees ? Are we serious at all as a country ? Look at how pupils are suffering in accessing basic education, some lying on their belly to write, some studying under trees while others are death trapped structures which don't deserve to be called classrooms. Monies spent on council of state alone since 1992 till this time, could have provided descent classrooms for the poor cocoa farmers or fisher folks or better their feeder roads. They know these poor people only when it's campaign period.

Ghana is extremely conservative country. No wonder we are not doing well as a nation. Countries like Botswana, Ethiopia, Senegal, Burkina Faso etc. have young leaders who are doing fantastic work. Here in Ghana, we have put together a group of very old people (in a so called Council of State) to help run the country.
