Ghana is really feeling the effects of climate change, from rising temperatures to changing rainfall patterns. In fact, the country has experienced a 1.0 °C increase in temperature since 1960, with the drier northern areas warming more rapidly than the southern regions .
The impact on agriculture is significant, with *_40-50% of the workforce_* depending on small-holder rain-fed agriculture. Disruptions due to erratic rainfall and extreme weather events will harm people's economic well-being, and staple crops like *_cassava, maize, and cocoa_* are expected to see decreased production .
But it's not all doom and gloom. Ghana has made some great strides in addressing climate change and sustainability. For example, the *_Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Studies_* at the University of Ghana is doing some amazing work in researching and promoting sustainable development .
The Ghanaian government has also signed the *_Paris Agreement_* and developed a *_National Climate Change Adaptation Strategy_* to lower the risks posed by climate change . Additionally, there are efforts to promote *_renewable energy_*, *_sustainable resource management_*, and *_climate-resilient agriculture_* .
However, there are still many challenges to overcome, including the impact of climate change on *_water resources_*, *_hydropower_*, and *_human health_. It's estimated that about 2 million Ghanaians_* are vulnerable to food insecurity, and climate change could endanger a vital food source and way of life for many people.
Overall, Ghana is taking steps in the right direction, but there's still a lot of work to be done to address the pressing issues of climate change and sustainability.

I think this guy would have done well at NPA given his background. Climate change is a technical area and I personally don't think he has the technical skills to provide guidance to the President regarding climate financing and leveraging the numerous opportunities for Ghana to meet its NDCs.
