  Prof, I beg to differ.
  Taxing the rich won't work in our country. Fair taxes for everyone.
  Those below the poverty line should be exempted but assisted to come out of poverty.

  Our company has 91 employees, 73 of them at the lower end whose average take home salary is approx 1,040 cedis. They pay an average of 51 cedis each in tax. The middle and senior workers take an average pay of 3,500 cedis and pay 485 cedis in tax. So the middle and senior personnel take three and a half times the salaries of the lower workers but pay over nine times the tax. And YOU Prof Bokpin, want them to pay MORE???? Why not start investigating all those used car lots filling Ghanaian cities and asking if they are charging and paying VAT!!!!

  The lecturers should declare how much they earn from just handouts and taxes paid as extra income
  If booking is honest he should tell us how much he earns as a lecturer consultancy earnings handout earnings publishing of supervised thesis and related taxes paid by him and thereafter he can suggest
  Why so much hatred in our society by a group of loud mouth educated cheats
  Are most of the small and average hostels dotted around the universities not owned by these same university lecturers they should continue their nose making in the media and wen they realize crazy people are reacting then we shall all see
