RENTLY SOME UNIVERSITIES IN SOUTH KOREA HAD TO CLOSE DOWN LAW SOCIOLOGY AND THOSE USELESS REDING PROGRAMS BECAUSE PEOPLE WERE NOT APPLYING FOR. IN GHANA TODAY LAW AND JOURNALISM ARE REALLY BIG DEALS. THESE PROGRAMS ARE MOSTLY TAKEN BY UNINTELLIGENT FOOLS.

  Nobody loves math more than me (PhD Statistics, Harvard), but Ghana needs agricultural and medical training more than anything else.
  
  Mathematics is crucial to everything. However, we don't need everyone studying math at the expense of the other disciplines, including all the vocational trades. It would be unwise of Ghana to attempt to mimic Asian nations, in my opinion. Instead of designing math programs to identify the few child prodigies (I speak from my experience of starting college math in America at age 9), we need programs that ensure a minimum math literacy for all. Instead of focusing on the children of the elite, we need programs that benefit the many children left behind.
