When Akufo Addo took over in 2017 and sacked workers, even those in the private sector, did he have to get rid of the laws that were passed by the previous parliament first? How can someone with brain in their skull compare human beings to laws, and this guy used to be an MP?

I don’t have deep knowledge of what informed the decision to terminate the appointment of person recruited after Dec 7.
However, based on Kyei-Mensah Bonsu’s logic, if Akufo-Addo deemed it fit not to assent to the LBTQ bill after Dec 7, and left it for the new government to decide, why didn’t Akufo-Addo also apply the same principle to recruitment by leaving it for the new government. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu can not be using hypothetical situations. His question should rather be directed to Akufo Addo that why did he refused to sign the LBTQ bill but hurriedly approved recruitment after Dec 7. This would be a legitimate question since both incidents have actually occurred and are not hypothetical.

It sad that after many years as MP you can not differentiate between a bill passed by parliament and the president signs it into law and appointments made by the president which does not require parliament approval.

It is sad for any government to sack citizens which were employed by a previous government. I don't wish for any citizen to experience this. We always say democracy is government by the people and for the people, but all well meaning Ghanaians should be frank and answer the following questions;
1. Did the NPP government not recruit Ghanaians over the 8 years period they have governed this country?
2. Has the new government, NDC sacked all Ghanaians who were employed over the 8 years period?
3. What has happened before an outgoing government will recruit more than 5000 nurses and midwives when they are about to leave office?
4. Which of these two, the outgone and the income government, is acting in bad faith towards the recruits and the nation?
Finally, let look for a simple solution for this reoccurring problem which happens after a successful transition of power from one political party to the other. If not for a political cheap point, why can't we have a legislation in place which will require every recruitment in election year should end by 30th June of that year? A six month clear before a new government comes into office?

The new govt warn not to recruit considering the economic situation with many uncertainties as a new govt. They use the law to throw dust into our eyes. Morally, was Akufo Addos action right at the time of only days to handover. Every bad precedence was set by the NPP govt and when same medicine is used for them, they cry it's too bitter. As for Mahama, it was an absolute voice of the country that brought him to the seat. We are watching all the evil manner of the opposition not to make Ghana work. Same Ghanaians who could think through to vote you people out are the same watching and doing critical analysis of media reportage. Leave us alone for Ghana to work and stop the book long which mess us up till now we haven't recovered. Cement is c115 now. Why?
