Who granted the Concession,Under which Gov,How much was paid to the *state*?? Or it was given to him as a gift?? The citizens must know. Imagine if it was a different big Chief in Ghana who had come out to say he 'mines in the forest' Imagine the kind of questions the 'hypocrisy-filled many Ghanaians' will be asking by now! If this Chief doesn't take care his own people would see him as a deceitful character and will stop that unconditional love from them.
The good people of the Ashanti Region yester years are not the same today and won't be the same tomorrow. For , they are becoming more intelligent and aware of their environment.So, I plead will his advisers to counsel him accordingly with the impact of present day social psychy of the subjects, more so when the overlord is openly accused that he has allowed himself to be used by A. Addo and Wountumi to the detriment of the protection of the people's land, water and forests.
The good people of the Ashanti region are so hard working and smart but they are not the getting support that they need to develop, unfortunately, the chiefs, elites and the elderly are using the vulnerable hard working people of the region to create self - centeretness to ensure cultural, traditional relevance and prestige, when in fact that wonderful region should have been the most important and a well developed region in Ghana. Their traditional leaders are not helping them, look at what the npp has done for them and tell me if they deserve that less. After all these their chiefs and subjects keep praising themselves of being the greatest while there is less to prove that greatness.
How could one use Yaa Asantewaa greatness as a tool to argue 21st Century greatness, how? when you have the leverage to have lead the way through even political advantages when their npp was in power since time immemorial, respectively? Let it be known to the elders that today's irrational adults wouldn't be same as tomorrow's adults. Hmmm.
The chiefs are cheating the subjects through prentence and political selfishness.
The great Ashanti region deserves better.
Don't let any chief come and pretend that he doesn't know what has been going on since the past years.
Treat the good people of the region well and stop
