Akufo Addo's government relied on the willingness of the judiciary to protract these cases, when they knew they couldn't achieve conviction on the value of evidence. Things were so bad in some the cases, so much so that the chief justices had to keep soiling themselves at every turn to keep the trials alive. Akufo Addo should never happen to us again.

If Mahama is serious to fight corruption in Ghana then he should put Asiama Thompson and the Sagremi people back in court. These are crimes against the state and they should be tried.

Opuni's case for instance was cooked at Osarfo Marfo office with his niece Evelyn Keelson chief state attorney as the secretary of the meeting. She concocted the 27 charges after which she was given funds as Per diem to enjoy herself in Germany with a claim of investigating the source of lithovit. Evelyn Keelson will be called to submit her investigation report soon.
