Welcome Ernest Thompson. At least lobby the president to direct SSNIT to pay pensioners on the 15th of each month. That made us plan our life. The Osafo Maafo group made the third Thursday of the month the day for paying pensions. So for some months pensions were paid five weeks after the previous payment. This did not allow for effective planning. If it is paid on the 15th, then people are assured that they will receive their pensions after every 30 days. Those of us pensioners were unhappy. But you know how the mafia works. Mr. President please give Ernest Thompson some role at SSNIT to pump some wisdom and transparency into the system,

This happened in 2021....Delivery a unanimous 5-Member Panel judgment, President of the Court, Justice Yaw Appau said the charges preferred against the accused persons did not meet the constitutional requirements of free and fair trial as provided for under article 19 and Section 122 of the Criminal Offences (Procedure) Act, 1960 (Act 30).

The State had gone to the Supreme Court challenging a ruling of the Court of Appeal to the effect that the particulars of the offence levelled against Mr. Thompson were scanty.
