I composed a song a sorrowful on my way from El-wak stadium that midnight about the Lopez boxers. The first Lopez to shock Ghana was DANNY LITTLE RED LOPEZ who ended the boxing carrier of Ghana's first world champion, DAVID KOTEY POISON. Then followed by this MARIO CASTRO LOPEZ who also ended another Ghana's potential world champion by all standard, SILLEY SHITU. I walked from El-wak stadium to BUKOM without knowing I was trekking. The shocked was sooooo much to bear. Of late , another Lopez was almost beating Ike Bazooka Quartey in his carrier. The Lopez boxers are very stubborn and rugged. But We still love our boxing idols, D.K. POISON and Sulley Shittu. CONGRATULATIONS.

Some of us in our Seventies saw him fight in Accra. He was a very brilliant and nimble-footed boxer who represented Ghana in many international tournaments. He was a Gold Coaster/Ghanaian born to Nigerian parents (Yorubas) in Koforidua. Bagbin was not old enough to have seen or remembered him. He only read about him in the papers later on. Sulley was one of Ghana's best boxers.
