I would strongly suggest that those appointees to State Corporation jobs should go through the process of an appointment Committee . It should not be left to the president.

You are on point Doc, but not until we amend the 1992 constitution, the perogative to appoint and dismiss politicians shall continue to lie in the bosom of the president. Appointments indeed should be on merits.
Patronage system designed for the benefit of JJ’s presidency but still there because all those after him have found it convenient and rewarding even though it breeds nepotism and corruption.
The Constitution was drafted by PNDC/NDC for Rawlings. They never thought Rawlings will be replaced.
