Russia used to import several billions of poultry from USA but when the latter increased tariff on their steel import.Russia hit back by banning poultry import from USA with the excuse that there was too much salmonella in USA poultry .Russia shifted to Brazil but for the long improved local production.What can Ghana do if our raw cocoa also go thru the same patch where we don't get importers?

When they imposed sanctions on Russia in the beginning of the war and the UK stupidly and arrogantly refused to buy Russian oil and gas, even though the rest of Europe was still buying it (at least the gas), every household here in the UK was hit so hard with energy bills in a manner no one had ever seen before. In the end they (the UK authorities) had to go round buying oil from India who in turn were buying their oil from Russia - can you imagine the stupidity - all because of arrogance and pride?
