The incident is an unfortunate one. It showed how dishonourable our so-called 'Honorable' MPs are.
However, after watching the video, I understand that originally the committee agreed to vet 3 nominees yesterday. They later agreed to add one more nominee. After vetting nominee, the majority brought two more nominees being Akandoh and Ablakwa, without any consultation of the minority. By that time, it was too late and as human they were tired.

The minority, like every minority caucus in parliament under the 4th Republic, are required to stand in the stead of ordinary Ghanaians like you and me who cannot be there to ask the questions that bother us.
Moreover, the majority does not appear to ask the important questions obviously because the nominees are their party members, even though they have the right to ask such questions.

This arrangement which is a constitutional requirement is to ensure the transparent, responsible and accountable governance by any government whether npp
or NDC.
It is clear from the begining that the chaos was caused largely caused by Dafeamekpo's intransigence as well as unprofessionalism on the part of the clerk to the committee.

The stronger the committee, the more accountable our government is likely to be.
