  The issue with privatisation is the corrupt process during this action. They tend to be given to companies that have links with politicians. Also because of the profit making scheme of these companies a lot of staff are made redundant. Since Ghana has no benefit system it creates further social and economic issues.

Outsourcing of billing and collection, if it reduces headcount and improves revenue can be considered but not Privatizing the provision of water - that will be an abdication of government responsibility and create a disaster.
