You are not serious , better come with better solutions than splitting the region.
Who is going to pay for the extra resources
Areas who know the value of peace and are benefiting from peace should send resources to people who have decided not to live in peace.
Does it mean that any region can decide to start fighting so they get divided and increase government allocation of resources?

A region can arrest the situation that the supreme court has already adjudicated on since 2003 but Bawumia and npp have gone against the ruling.
Kusaug region is coming live. The mini minority that recorded 0 votes in large electoral areas in Bawku are just irritating insects pampered by the npp and bawumia. The can go hug the nearest transformer

You have just been made Majority leader in parliament and you think that is enough to create more confusion for your people? You believe creating a region will address security issues rooted in the long standing conflicts between Kusasis and Mamprusis? Will you new region create an exclusive Kasasi region by driving out the Mamprusis who also have a right to call parts of the area their home of birth? Do you understand what it takes to run a region? Ayariga, if you have nothing to offer your people, please do not invite more mayhem on them. Please, stop the stupidity.

It is the same Mr. Ayariga who is helping fuel the tribal division in the area and now he wants a region for Kusasi's only. There are other tribes who have long lived in this area. The Ghana government now run by NDC should think carefully before yielding to warlords like Ayariga who are financing the Kusasi- Mamprusi conflict in order to set up a disastrous military entity that will end up not benefitting either the Kusasis or the Mamprusis. Do not use the political capital that you have just achieved to further divide the two tribes that have equal stake in this deal because there other tribes in the region that do not have the financing that the Ayariga group has in stoking fire. Ghana is a peaceful country and any attempts to divide us by creating tribal regions is politically unacceptable and should not be tolerated in our dear Ghana. Mr. Ayariga is a divisionist and should not be a determinant as to which regions to create in Ghana. Thanks to all Ghanaians and together we can make Ghana the Black star it was. YEN

It will resolve the issue but that's not the only reason we create regions. The npp government created 6, what was their criteria? The Kusaug Area has the second largest population in the entire north if you take out Dagombas Area.
It has at least 4 borders. There is plenty economic activity taking place there including trade, gold mining and farming. It has 6 constituencies now but it's Zebilla district has the highest population in the region. Long overdue to be split to create at least 8 constituencies.
Government said it spends at least 6 million every year on peace keeping in Bawku. That money is more than enough to build the needed regional infrastructure for a region

That is why we voted massively for him by giving Bawumia zeros in most of our polling stations. So whether rain or shine, the region must come.

RE- Augustina Quayson . Please, when we talk of revenue generation for development, natural resources are not the only sources for revenue generation. You can also talk of the human resource base and considering that the area is the second densely populated area after Dagbon in the whole of the 6 regions in the North, undoubtedly one cannot underestimate the economic activities in the area and the revenue that can be generated. Not forgetting the fact that the enclave shares boundary with two countries, Togo and Burkina. A lot of revenue is generated through the trade among these countries if you care to know Madam Augustina.

No. If it was not a constitutional crime to name those regions after tribes during that era then it cannot be a crime now. The constitution is what we as citizens upholds to and not an ill will or subjective thinking. The due process of creating a region will be followed as stipulated in the constitution if the people need it and not an ill will Alhaj kaluo.
