Ask for a better deal from our resources is the way to go but we have a political system where the opposition will use any kind of attempt by the sitting government to renegotiate those “deals” to launch propaganda and malicious attacks - so for me , if there is anything hindering our leverage to call for change in the way western countries trade with us it is our politics . Look at Niger , Mali and Burkina . We are not asking for coups but our leaders should be able to speak out against some of the ills that are pulling us down .

Isn't it funny that these are empty words with track records.... In 2008 the NDC could never better agreement left by the Kuffour administration. Will it be different now ? May be with ressurected dead goat... Time will tell

You have made my year. This is one of the best write ups of the year. Even than these so call economies this and that , professor that and this. Is a clear cut way for the Mahama government to go. Is a better negotiable tool that has a big potential chance of success . This write up must be a guiding foreign policy drive. Thanks to Kofi .

When you hear People like Dr Kofi Amoah speaking you wonder why these people were not giving positions for the reset agenda. Wisom upon wisdom. Bravo comrade. We are all not perfect but experience is the best teacher. Giving positions to political affiliates without recourse to betterment of Ghana is tantamount to failure. I am not one bit impressed by the kind of appointments JM has made so far. Mediocrity appointments apparently and therefore none of the Minister's during vetting were able to think outside the box. We need experienced advisors going forward. JM listen to them and it will help you because I really don't see you resetting Ghana based on your appointments. Bravo Citizen Kofi for well thought advise to power!

When we are already busy looking for means to give away our strategic national assets such as electricity to foreigners who will come and exploit us and repatriate abnormal profits into their developed countries, under the guise of ECG is not efficient, how will we not remain poor. What stops us from ensuring ECG becomes EFFICIENT in PUBLIC hands?
It is always the easiest way out. "Give it to the Private Sector". often meaning Foreigners. Why wont these foreigner carry our wealth in Gold, Timber, Oil and now Lithium away while we go around with cup in hand begging for the "Crumbs" that fall from the white mans table.
We cannot think outside the box. So we are always calling for foreigners to take over. Then we will cry about no jobs and poverty. When will we come out of our slumber?
