If Mr Mahama is relying on recommendations made by persons close to him to make appointments, he should move cautiously because an individual interest cannot be the same as group or the national interest. Mr Mahama, if you hear the grassroots complain, please take note and respond well. These are the very people who risked everything to send you where you are now.
Continously the grassroots stood by you when there were internal machinations at the party's hierarchy to get rid of you after you lost the 2016 elections. The grassroots still didn't give up on you and supported your 2020 elections attempt. In the 2024 elections, the grassroots gave their support to you in choice of Naana Jane Opoku Acheampong as running mate despite resistance from the top hierarchy of the party.
Mr Mahama, please don't disppoint the grassroots because they are very very reasonable people.
What is it about the intended appointment of a new NCA Chief Executive who is allegedly to have executed the closure of many radio stations thought be critical of the Npp. The act rendered most workers of these stations jobless, broken marriages/ homes and sent some to their early graves.
How can you reward someone who caused so much damage to press freedom especially stations that have given total support to Mr Mahama and his party Ndc all these years despite the numerous challenges in the form of advertising among others.
Maybe Mr Mahama may not be an ardent listener of radio gold for example but for those who listen regularly to the station they will be very very disappointed in you and the Ndc and perhaps reach the conclusion that the party and Mr Mahama are not worth dying for.
Hearing what this man Fianko did to these stations and no reasons to doubt claims made by the victims and if Mr Mahama intend to appoint Mr Fianko to that NCA position, an appeal is been made for him not to even contemplate the decision.
Un individual's interest should not surpass that of the party Ndc and the whole nation when it comes to press freedom unless Mr Mahama is prepared to risk his core support which will be totally unnecessary to do so Mr President.

We want to see honest and dedicated people appointed to these agencies and not necessarily a mere qualification. Appointee with excellent credentials can fail woefully if he or she is dishonest, bad attitude and a thief. So we should stop inferring that he is more qualified than others and look for other excuses. If Mahama continues in this way, he may diminish the party fortunes in 2028. Akufo addo appointed some of the most qualified and experienced people in his government but they all failed and run down the country due to their thievery. So qualified no qualified is neither here or there and it’s good they point out to Mahama.

I think also we should not create a situation as if all those who help the NDC to win power wants to be rewarded. People help the party greatly most will never want anything at all. A great country is enough we should project Better Ghana. I know a very great guy working tirelessly for JDM for is not having any ministering post and might not want to but they are the brains supporting the President. The President need a dedicated communication channel that is direct to him that a very serious minded people can provide him with great ideas with no condition and rewards needed. Don't compare inclusivity in other like Ghana, when most the opposition's intention is for you to fail.
