Under severe condition, they have every right to defend themselves as rules required, and these illegal miners, should understand that the military have a role to play in Ghana. Approaching them with the intent to cause harm, would lead to violent confrontation with an unpleasant ending.

To me, I do not see anything wrong as far as our soldiers are concerned because the illegal miners, despite breaching Anglogold concession, are armed and for what reason? They deserved to die again and again because they went there to cause mischief and paid a heavy price for it. Next time, yes, next time those lazy parents who are pushing the children to go into deadly areas will think twice.

Instead of warning the illegal miners from embarking on such irresponsible activities, we are rather asking our security personnel whose very lives are threatened by such violent acts of miners to act with caution.
