It is good to elect the MMDCEs on non partisan lines, however the constitution ought to be amended because once they are elected to office it means the President cannot fire them.

Hypocrisy at its peak. Every decent Ghanaian knows that District/Municipal elections both for Assembly members and Chief Executives are prosecuted along party lines. Stop disturbing our ears with these phoney excuses.

Apart from the air we breathe, everything is politicised to the extent that some prophets and pastors have made their churches very partisan. We are always deceiving ourselves because district level elections are said to be non partisan but it's very very partisan on the ground. Why are we trickling ourselves this way? We always want to be deceived, to be lied to and to glorify nonsense and stupidity. Our politicians have become professional liars because they take 9 as 6 and vice versa. This MP is saying that they are 184 and the other side is 88 so they have the numbers but he has forgotten that when this issue came up in the first term of the previous government, they had the numbers then but they didn't use their numbers to bulldoze their way through.

If Assembly men and women are in reality elected on partisan lines what’ll be so different about DCEs/MCEs? Why must we simply go in circles?

Wow, double standard!!! It was bad bcos it was NPP but now it is good and you propose implementing it. Always appreciate good things even if it is from the other side and stop putting party colours on every good policy.
