What's wrong with our foolish educated leaders going on borrowing spree only to sponsor free education in the country. Even the develop countries with all their wealth pays for education. Is not the responsibility of the state to father someones children in education, why waste millions to pay only first year and not full degree. What if they dropout if they cant pay subsequent semesters that means those first year money has been wasted? What's the essence of producing graduates with no job on the market. is it a new avenue for our corrupt leaders to siphon corrupt money for themselves. Instead of our government to remain focus on building the country on industrialisation building factories good roads building strong economy improving health facilities agriculture and infrastructural development, they are rather mismanaging our scarce resources with their stupid freebies. I believe the is a difference acquiring knowledge and being educated foolish.

Let only the needy apply for it, don't make it a default for all. There should be a special education loan facility at most major banks with super low interest.

Let only the needy apply for it, don't make it a default for all. There should be a special education loan facility at most major banks with super low interest.

Even with that the money shouldn't be disbursed directly to the applicant but direct into the universities account. Make it elible for for both private and public universities.

With national identification process, the borrow can run away without payment because it will reflect in all other banks.

We don't have money waste anymore. Use that money to build manufacturing plant, companies, technical workshops, training facilities instead so they come out equipped with the necessary skills and ready jobs to do.

It should be a recurring money which will auto come back to help others over and over again.
Same can be applied to the free shs program. It is about sustainability not just political gimmicks.

Even the school feeding program should be coupon based with limited allocations per student.
