EVERLASTING PEACE IN BAWKU:
1.The Mamprusis will have to give up their claim to the skin and see themselves as settlers.
2.The Kusaug Overlord should give them some autonomy within their enclave at Natinga and for them to have their sub-chief just like the the other settler tribes in Bawku.

3.Kusaug to allow Mamprusis to build on Kusaug lands they have acquired and to settle within those Kusaug environs in peace.

4.Mamprusi farmlands seized by Kusasis should be returned to them and they allowed to farm during the farming season on those lands.

5.The commercial center of Bawku should be accessible to Kusasis and the Kusasis returning to the central market for business without fear of being attacked. Same should go to the Kariyama animals markets.
6.Mamprusis should equally be allowed to do business in Kusasi areas like Gingande, Sabon Gari, Kpalwega, Bawkzua, et al.

Now, the government should try as much as possible to set up skills training centers at Bawku and her environs to engage the idle youth. Agriculture can also be used to empower the youth as most are into animal husbandry and vegetable as well as fruit cultivation.
Anything short of this well not see us solving this Bawku madness.
Ps:The Nayiri's role is damned crucial. Those Mamprusis at Bawku went there from Nalerigu in historical days. He the Nayiri is the ONLY ONE who can prevail on the Bawku Mamprusis to accept their status there as settlers and that the land belongs to the Kusasis. JM should told that man to account should the process fail.

That is your preference as a kusasi or a a kusasi sympathiser. Bawku is traditionally a town under the Nayiri's kingdom. You know very well that traditional chieftaincy in Ghana is not based on population size of a tribe that determines who becomes a chief. Chieftaincy is based on lineage and birth right. The mamprusis have been the rulers of Bawku since time immemorial, since pre-historic era. How do you suddenly discontinue someone from being a chief of a place their fathers and grandfathers have ruled for centuries? The kusasi chief on the other hand was illegally installed in the 1950s by Kwame Nkrumah. That is what started the problem.

A politician cannot just come to power and make someone a chief because he doesn't like the chief of the place.

How come the mamprusis are not laying claim to the other chieftaincies around Bawku that are being occupied by kusasis? The mamprusis are the legitimate chiefs of Bawku and no politician should try to change things in favour of another group because of political votes.

Kusasis can use their majority in the area to control political power which they are already doing by voting for people like Mahama Ayariga et al. They should not extend that to traditional chieftaincy, which is a completely different and separate system.
