This will reduce the expenditure of collection if not eliminate it and also eliminate the inconvenience of stopping or curing to pay at toll booths. This method will also increase toll revenue tremendously for all vehicles owners will pay regardless their your locations.

Toll collection is highly discriminatory. The poor, who cannot afford to stay in the prime areas of Accra are the ones who pay toll to come and work in Accra.
Those in the Kasoa, dodowa and beyond nsawam are made to pay toll because they can’t afford to live in Labone, cantonment, dansoman etc.
We should make everyone pay some road maintenance fee when renewing your DVLA. Better than making just a few who can’t afford rent in town pay.

Toll collection is illegal if there is no alternative route. The first toll from Tetteh Quashi to Tema had an alternative, which is the Teshie Tema beach road.

What the authorities need to do is to privitise the road worthy inspection and introduce a road user levy. These will be charged by vehicle Wright. International trucks should pay at the boarders and issue with ticket. There is corruption at dvla because they can't contain all the vehicles in Ghana. Private individuals be engaged at every corner of the country to check vehicle road worthyness.
