  Good leadership shown by the president after just one week in office. Bawku will see peace again. Bawku is a land of the Kusasi people. They cannot live under the slavery of any Mamprusi chief appointed from Nayiri sitting somewhere in Nalerigu in the North East Region. Mamprusi people are just difficult people who refuse to obey court rulings and simple instructions. They are just trying to destroy Bawku, the land of the dominant Kusasi people. Mr president Deal with them, after all thise Mamprusis don’t bote for NDC. They vote for NPP. Let the Ghana Armed Forces deal with them in order to restore peace in the area and Ghana at large. Government has monopoly over the use of force on the Mamprusi people to make peace prevail in Bawku. This no sense and barbarism must stop. Enough is enough

  Whether mamprusis or kusasis, everybody wants peace and the issue should be resolved appropriately not in a way that favours one side because a government perceived to favour that side is in power.
  
  You are very wrong to suggest that mamprusis don't vote NDC. Go to North East Region and see the number of votes Mahama got even though Bawumia is from that region. NDC and NPP both have 3 seats each from that region. Mamprusis are actually one of the most peaceful people you can find in the Nortn. They didn't ban any political party from campaigning despite the actions of the kusasis in Bawku and the surrounding areas.
  
  The Nayiri is only exercising his right to enskining a chief for Bawku and that right has been in existence since pre-historic era. His right to enskin paramount and divisional chiefs are similar to those of other chiefs like the Asantehene, the Yana, the Yagbonwura etc. Our traditional chieftaincy systems is not necessarily based on regions. That is why they are called kingdoms. E.g. the Ashante kingdom, the Mamprugu kingdom, the Ga kingdom, the Dagomba kingdom, the Gonja kingdom etc.
  
  The Bawku kusasi chief only came into existence in the 1950s through the political interference of Kwame Nkrumah. You and I know very well that political governments don't enskin or determine who becomes a chie. Why are you trying to force it to happen?
  
  There are other kusasi chiefs around Bawku and the mamprusis have never laid any claim to them and that should be enough for you to understand.
  
  Let's all work for peace in the interest of the common good and not try to force politicians to do the wrong things in our favour because we voted for them.
