Betting tax is not only about income generation but to discourage people from investing all their time, energy and resource into it. The income however helps the state to rehab the addicted.

To discourage the youth? Ok , if the betting firm fail to win consumers due to discouraged youth how can the firm pay tax to govt? Do pushers pay tax? Wee abonsam Taya is what must be tax to discourage smoking.
If really the tax is to discourage people from beting then why not make it illegal or better yet create job for the people. The root course of betting in ghana is the hopelessness the youth go through.
