At least with democracy we can always vote out a non performing party. The democracy we have in Ghana now should be held dear. Those parties that come to power should just do a good job to help build a better Ghana for all.

The fact is that Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia's government did not perform better than that of General Ignatius Acheampong, a military one.
The matter is that those who came to power through the ballot box have their doll masters to serve and as a result are not able to manage the economies of their countries well, and that has also been the problem of those military and police men who staged coups through foreign finance and support.
Those two group of leaders are at the beg and call of their doll masters as was the case with the National Liberation Council (NLC) that overthrew Kwame Nkrumah and his Convention Peoples' Party (CPP) in 1966.
Just like Mnangagwa coup in Zimbabwe, their doll masters did not lift the sanctions they imposed on the government that they overthrew, since some of the demands of their puppet masters will turn the citizens against them.
Ignatius Acheampong did well until the imperialist begun to impose sanctions on his government.
Around the world governments that came to power as a result of armed national liberation struggle have equally done better than those who were given independence on the silver platter.
We can compare China and India which both became independent in 1948, but China is both economically and socially advanced as a result of the armed national liberation movement of her independence.
The irony is that the US which is against all national liberation movements was also established through Caucasians who migrated to America opposing their monarchy governments home through armed struggle.
Cuba is also an example of a military national liberation struggle, though her economy is not able to improve at a faster rate as a result of her location, her educational medical system is the best in Southern America.
