It’s now very important for all of us to put party politics aside and make sure that no individual or a party is able to capture and control our political and socioeconomic systems in the country the way Akufo-Addo and the NPP did. We live in a democracy and institutions must serve the people and not presidents or parties. Mahama’s determination to put things right must be supported and encouraged.

This sycophancy started way back in 2008 when Akufo Addo systematically destroyed the party structures. He was bold to publicly "select" which MPS or executives he wants or doesn't before that person is voted for. Even those who were legitimately voted for, such as Paul Afoko, Kwabena Agyapong, Sammy Crabbe, etc. were humiliated and sacked from National executive positions because they challenged the authority of a certain Akyempanzee King Kong. And that was the era of "Nana say"" it was final.

He became so powerfully powerful and intoxicated with authority and dictatorship. Sadly you these same people looked on unconcerned till this day.

Some of us who boldly voiced out were called names as if were not loyal to the party. I couldn't imagine how we Asantes with boldness and history became so timid for one Akyempanzee family to bully us.

Anyone who dared criticised is labelled as an enemy of Akufo Addo.

Lessons learnt in a bitter way.

NPP Supporters or Akans don't use the word Akyempanzee.Akans may be having problems with Ewes/Ayigbes but we never use Animal names for them.It is Ayigbes in NDC who are quick to call their rivals Animals
